Mama of two.

Being a mother is so completely life altering. Your entire world becomes consumed by your children. Their needs and keeping them safe take up the entirety of your brain capacity!
Since having Delilah I have become obsessed with finding the perfect breastfeeding outfits! I’ve had to reevaluate my entire wardrobe. To begin with, it made me so freakin sad that I wouldn’t be able to wear a lot of my favourite pieces.. but then reality kicked in and I realised that it meant I could go SHOPPING for NEW things haha!

My search led me to an amazing label Pink Blush. They’re clothing can take you right through pregnancy into breastfeeding and all their pieces are so insanely GORGEOUS!
Another thing that has saved my sanity more than once over the last three months (how is my Pixie girl already three months old!!?) is baby wearing! I seriously don’t know how I would have gotten through those clingy patches, when all Pixie wanted was her Mama if I didn’t have my ring sling from Chekoh. I find the ring sling is perfect for the early months and I’ve since also gotten a wrap as well. Which is super back friendly for when your baby gets bigger (and they inevitably will!!).

One of my most cherished finds for Mama life is my nappy bag from Sunday Isle. It’s the PERFECT size for everything I could possibly need for Delilah and I can even fit in a change of clothes for my big boy Zeke, which is awesome because he has a tendency of getting wet or seriously dirt covered! It’s also one of a kind and ethically sourced, which just makes using it that much more sweeter.

I have come out of these first three months feeling a little more in control and like I’ve got this.. well at least most days I START out feeling that way, then things become chaotic and I just want to hide in the bathroom haha! But in all honesty I wouldn’t change any of the insanity that is my day to day life now. Being a mother is truly the most important thing I have ever done in my life. My children are my everything and I am so blessed to be their Mama.

Robe/ kimono is from PinkBlush and I’m wearing a size XL.

                       don’t let them tame you”

This was the kind of afternoon that leaves you feeling inspired and empowered! I got to collaborate with the two badass Goddesses who run Hide and Feast. Working with them and the super talented Juniper Scout for this shoot was incredibly inspiring. Just be able to witness their creativity, their determination and strength, left me feeling so empowered and a true connectedness to my sisters. As women, I truly feel that it’s so important to support and encourage each other in our personal lives and in our businesses enterprises. We are so much stronger together!

Lately my life has been full of a lot of pain, after my Mama’s passing I just couldn’t face writing. Slowly but surely I feel the heat and passion for life returning. I’ve realised all it really takes to bring me back to myself, is time spent connecting to the earth and with the people I love. This shoot was one of those blissful afternoons by ocean with my soul sister. We laughed and danced along the waters edge, waves lapped at our feet as our toes sunk deep into the wet sand. And for a few hours I felt completely at peace with the world.

Featuring a few pieces from the latest collection from Ishani Designs.

All their beautiful creations are designed in Australia and made from deliciously soft rayon that has been hand block printed and crafted in India.

I’m wearing a Large or one size for all these gorgeous pieces and I’m usually a size 16 au.

This week has been a little bit insane. I’ve been a crazy thing, trying to get the house packed up to move on Friday. But I did manage to do a little shoot of one of my favourite pieces from Spell Designs new collection Oracle. This dress is the perfect spring maxi! Easily dressed up for an evening out paired with heeled sandals or worn as a casual day dress with birkenstocks. It is fast becoming a favourite of mine (I’ve worn it three times already over the last week haha), I’m wearing an XL and I’d say it would fit a 16 au. I can’t get enough of Spell, their designs are truly flawless!

I feel incredibly connected and drawn to the very idea of a nomadic existence. It resonates with my soul. I dream of following the sun around this vast country I call home and now that dream is about to become reality! I am currently searching for our new home/wheels, which is the very first step to the beginning of a great adventure! I’m so excited to share my journey with you all! Stay tuned ✌

Pagan Moon is the new collection from Tree of Life. It is truly the embodiment of all things mystical. I felt as though I had become an otherworldly being wandering through the forest in the early morning light. I am enthralled by this magical collection, the designs instantly make me think of my favourite era the 70’s and the colours are such rich hues. This bewitching collection is definitely one to get your hands on! I’m wearing a Large in all of these designs and I’m usually a size 16AU and 163cm tall (so you get idea of the dress length).

Outfit one: the Seventies top and hand block printed wrap around skirt from Tree of Life, belt from ASOS, necklace/rings from Hobo and Hatch, bracelets from Hindi Indie and Ohm Boho, hat from City Beach.

Outfit two: the Woodland dress from Tree of Life, necklace from the Nomad Collective.

Outfit three: the Huntress dress from Tree of Life, necklaces from Hobo and Hatch.

Lately I’ve been a little obsessed with wearing different patterns together. I have such a a fun time mixing and matching! I think it can be a little overwhelming to try figure out what pattern works with what. But I find if you pair a smaller pattern with a larger one it works great! This outfit is one of my favourites at the moment, I’ve paired the ‘safari’ jumpsuit from Spell Designs with a kimono that has larger block print pattern. Spell designs are one of my all time favourite labels! Their sizing goes up to around an 18 au which is their XL. I’m wearing a Large and I’m usually a size 16 au. I seriously can’t get enough of Spell!  Their designs are flawless and the fabric they use is always deliciously soft.

When it comes to pattern on pattern don’t be afraid to get creative!

Gypsy dreamer.

I haven’t posted anything in a while purely because there really aren’t that many boho labels that do extended sizes. But in saying that there is one label that I’ve been loving lately, another Australian boho label called Eyota. Their designs are so flattering on so many body shapes and their sizing goes up to about an 18au. I’m in love with their Wanderer flares. I’ve paired them with the Free Spirit top in black. You definitely can’t go wrong with an entirely black outfit, especially when draped in bohemian jewels from Hobo and Hatch.

Wild thing.

You make my heart sing.

One of the most frustrating things about being into boho style clothing is the lack of labels out there that accommodate anyone past a size 12! The more I search for labels that go past a size 12AU, the more I realise there’s barely any that do. It’s starting to really piss me off actually.. All these labels are basically saying ‘lose 20 kilos and come back to us’. All I’m wanting is for labels to be more INCLUSIVE of all women, instead of this illusion of ‘exclusivity’ that they have created.

Tree of Life is another boho label from Australia that are more inclusive of different shapes and sizes. Their designs are so fucking gorgeous and embody the essence of the bohemian soul. Their sizes go up to about a 16-18 AU, a lot of their designs are ‘one size fits most’ which I’d say would fit up to an 18AU. Quiet a few of their designs are loose and floaty, I’m pretty confident that those styles would fit up to an 18-20AU.

The’sedona’ maxi dress is one of their styles that only comes in a one size fits most. I’m a size 16AU and 164cm tall so it’s the perfect maxi dress for us shorter Goddesses!

Ocean dweller.

The ocean is everything I want to be. Beautiful, mysterious, wild and free.

A label that I’ve fallen in love with recently is Carter Plantation. They are a completely independent label based on the east coast of Australia. The attention to detail in their designs is flawless! Each print is hand block printed on 100% rayon, and the styles are so dreamy. Even more exciting is the fact that they currently go to a size 18 and are working on a new line for plus sizes! Which I’m super excited about!
